Pastor Warren McGregor
Warren McGregor was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Warren's value system was shaped by his faith and South Africa's incredible transition from apartheid to the liberation of its people. From a young age, his vision and heart have been to help the lost, the hurt and the downtrodden. After college, Warren, who was also an avid sportsman, had to make a choice between playing professional cricket and following God's call on his life to be in full time ministry.
In 1996, Dr. Theo Wolmarans, Senior Pastor of Christian Family Church International in Johannesburg, ordained Warren as youth pastor and entrusted him with the responsibility of the spiritual well being of the youth in the church. At any given time Warren was responsible for over 2000 young adults and 75 small groups.
In 1998, God began to deal with Warren about relocating to the United States. He was very reluctant to leave the continent of Africa and the people he cared about so deeply. However, after an encounter with God, during which He revealed to Warren the plan and purpose for the move and how it would dovetail with the desires he had to help the people of Africa, he moved to the United States of America.
Warren initially relocated to America to implement the small group system and Bible School that was so successful in South Africa. After achieving these goals, he joined various international mission and humanitarian organizations and traveled into the central African region of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. For the better part of the last decade Warren has overseen a multitude of humanitarian projects such as malaria prevention, orphanages, schools for farming and construction while planting churches and bible schools.
Warren, his wife, Pastor Kathrine and their family have lived in the Sarasota area, since he moved to America in 1999. Warren and Pastor Kathrine McGregor always knew that God had destined them to start a church in Sarasota, but realized that it had to be in God's perfect timing and not their own. For eight years Warren and Kathrine prayed about that God ordained time and in early 2009 after much prayer and discussion with their Pastors, Dr's Theo and Bev Wolmarans, they were ordained and sent out to start the church in Sarasota under Christian Family Church International.
Pastor Warren is a graduate of Christian Family Church's Bible school and is currently pursuing his Doctorate with the same organization.
Warren is a pastor, teacher, businessman, motivational speaker and a student of life. He has a desire to help people find their purpose and destiny in this lifetime through the Word of God.
Pastor Kathrine McGregor
Kathrine McGregor was born in Ohio, but relocated with her family to Sarasota as an infant. Kathrine accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a very young age and discovered that she had a heart for missions early in life. Her parents, who were missionaries to South America at the time, instilled values of selflessness and an understanding of the needs of those less fortunate, especially in third world countries. Kathrine spent a lot of time on the mission field in Central America and Africa and has lived her life with a goal of helping others.
Kathrine met Warren, in Africa and they married two years later in the same year that he moved to the United States. She has played an active role in helping him achieve his calling, both on the mission field and in his role as Pastor while implementing and managing small groups, bible school and missions.
As a small business owner, Kathrine enjoyed much success in the business world which enabled her to not only support local community projects, but also international missions. In 2007, Kathrine turned her focus to the new church, and her calling for helping those battling issues of life. This prompted her to go back to school in order to pursue a Doctorate degree in Psychology. Kathrine graduated with Honors from Ashford University and obtained her BA in Psychology as well as numerous Certifications in Counseling, which she utilizes when ministering to people and families in need. She is also currently pursuing her PhD in Christian Psychology and Clinical Counseling and plans to open a Counseling Center in order to continue to minister to people from a biblical perspective.
Kathrine was ordained, along with her husband, Warren McGregor, and sent forth to found and co-pastor Christian Family Church (CFC), Sarasota in March 2009 under Dr's Theo and Beverly Wolmarans of CFC International.
